Version packreturn-merchant-terms-2026-10-08 · Zentara LLC, trading as Merchavelo.
These terms apply when a Shopify store installs PackReturn. The store's Shopify account owner accepts them inside the app before creating a return policy or recording sale receipts. PackReturn records the accepted version, the store, the accepting staff account and the time. When this version changes, the owner must accept the new version before continuing.
The service
Zentara LLC, trading as Merchavelo (“we”), provides PackReturn. PackReturn calculates partial pack return advice from a return policy and pre-sale receipt recorded in the app and from order, payment, refund and return facts read from Shopify. It never issues a refund or payment, changes an order or reserves stock. Advice is saved as an unexecuted record for staff to review.
Merchant responsibilities
The merchant is responsible for its sale terms and for showing them to customers before a qualifying sale, for which staff can use the app, for checking advice and for any refund performed in Shopify. PackReturn does not establish that a customer received or accepted the merchant's sale terms, and it must not be used to override rights customers have under applicable law. Unsupported, incomplete or inconsistent records block a calculation and need manual review. Advice is not accounting, tax or legal advice.
Data processing
The merchant decides why its order records are processed. We process them only to provide PackReturn on the merchant's instructions, as described in PackReturn privacy. The order query does not request customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses. Do not enter customer contact details in receipt titles or policy evidence. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising or use Shopify customer data for our own marketing.
Access is limited to authorized Shopify staff sessions and to us for support and privacy requests. Staff access tokens are encrypted. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Subprocessors and location
Shopify provides authorization and order data. Cloudflare hosts the app and stores its data. Storage is not limited to the European Union, so data can be processed outside the merchant's country. Cloudflare keeps a recoverable storage history for up to 30 days after data is changed or deleted. By accepting these terms the merchant agrees to these subprocessors and locations. We will update these terms, and ask for acceptance again, before adding a subprocessor that handles store data.
Retention and deletion
Sale evidence and its advice are deleted 365 days after the pre-sale receipt was recorded. Owner policies expire after 365 days; unbound receipts after 24 hours; staff sessions when Shopify authorization expires. A Shopify customer redaction request removes the named orders' records. A Shopify shop redaction request removes the store's business records, including this acceptance record and early-shop free eligibility. Minimal lifecycle and erasure markers are kept so that erased records cannot return from a later import or restore; they contain hashed identifiers and no order details. Deleted data can remain in Cloudflare's recovery history for up to 30 days.
Privacy requests
Send privacy requests to privacy@merchavelo.com. We act on Shopify's customer data and redaction requests and respond within 30 days. We verify that a request comes from the store owner before releasing data. A customer data export is delivered to the verified store owner through a protected channel and is not sent as an ordinary email attachment. Our copy of an export is deleted within 30 days after delivery.
Fees
PackReturn is free at launch. Stores that install while early access is open keep free access, including after an ordinary uninstall and reinstall. A shop redaction removes that eligibility. Any later charge would be approved through Shopify billing; these terms do not agree to a price.
Support, availability and changes
Support: support@merchavelo.com. We aim to keep PackReturn available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and may pause it to fix a problem. You can stop using PackReturn at any time by uninstalling it in Shopify; see the privacy notice for what happens to stored records. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
